Shas: Gafni holding funds from Religious Affairs Ministry

Shas officials have accused the chairman of the Knesset Finance Committee, Moshe Gafni (United Torah Judaism) of preventing funding for the Religious Affairs Ministry Israel Radio reported Thursday.

Shas officials have claimed that Gafni holds funds because the Religious Affairs Minister, Yaakov Margi of Shas, did not appoint United Torah Judaism MKs to religious councils.

Another Shas officials said that Gafni has not promoted a subsidy bill for mortgages because Shas has not made strides to ensure United Torah Judaism member Yithak Pindrus's position as Jerusalem deputy mayor.
