Shuttle leaves orbit, heads toward Florida landing

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. - The space shuttle Endeavour left orbit early on Wednesday and headed toward a landing in Florida after delivering a pioneering physics experiment to the International Space Station on the shuttle program's second-to-last flight.

Touchdown at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida was scheduled for 2:35 a.m. EDT.
