Sirens go off in central southern Israel; rockets intercepted over areas in south

Sirens warning of incoming rockets blare in the Ashkelon Coast Regional Council and Ashkelon; Sirens begin in the Shfela region -- Rehovot, Nes Ziona, Gedera, Yavne, Rishon Letzion.

Two more rockets were intercepted over Netivot. IDF spokesperson said that an Israeli soldier was lightly injured by shrapnel of a rocket that hit Sderot. Three rockets landed inside a community in the Eshkol Regional Council in southern Israel, after sirens went off in area; no injuries reported.
