Soldier injured by mortar shell in Eshkol undergoes drastic improvement

The soldier who was moderately injured by a mortar shell in Eshkol over the weekend has undergone a drastic improvement in his condition after several surgeries, Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba announced Sunday.

He has regained consciousness and is breathing independently.

The soldier was transferred out of the intensive care unit at Soroka.
