State prosecutors, who have been on strike for the past month, agreed on Thursday to an offer from the Prime Minister's Office to begin direct negotiations with Treasury representative Elan Levin, to be overseen by a representative of the prime minister.

The start date of the negotiations was not specified.

The State Prosecutors announced that they will ease the conditions of their strike once the negotiations begin so that in special circumstances in which dangerous criminals stand to be freed, they will agree to work.
