Syrian tanks storm town on Iraq border, activists say

AMMAN - Syrian tanks stormed the eastern town of Albu Kamal on Monday after a two week siege, activists in the region said, part of intensifying military assaults aimed at subduing dissent in tribal regions bordering Iraq's Sunni heartland.
