Two people killed in Virginia Tech shooting

WASHINGTON - Two people were killed in a shooting at the Virginia Tech campus, site of a 2007 massacre that killed 32 people, on Thursday, a university spokesman said.

Police were apprehending one person, the Collegiate Times newspaper said, before issuing another Twitter message saying the "person who surrendered at Performance Arts building is not under arrest."
