TOKYO - Japanese authorities on Monday safely cooled down two nuclear reactors at a quake-stricken power plant on the northeast coast, close to another nuclear complex where they are still struggling to cool three overheating reactors, local media said.

News agency JiJi said the cooled-down reactors were at the Fukushima Daini complex, near the Fukushima Daiichi plant.
