U.S. hopes to unfreeze 'substantial sum' for Libya

ROME - The US administration hopes to reach a deal with Congress to unblock a "substantial sum" of money to meet humanitarian needs in Libya but it would be a "small fraction" of the more than $30 billion in frozen assets, a senior US official told reporters on Thursday.
