Vandals defaced a memorial for paratroopers in the east Jerusalem neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah Monday by spraying it with graffiti in Arabic, police said.

“Police are searching for suspects,” Police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said. “An investigation is underway.”

On August 28, the tires of six cars in the neighborhood were slashed and four other vehicles vandalized in an apparent “price-tag attack” allegedly by Jewish nationalists. Additionally, the words “price tag” and “death to Arabs” were spray-painted on nearby walls.
