White House announces Mid East coordinator Philip Gordon

Philip Gordon will be joining the National Security Staff as Special Assistant to the President and White House Coordinator for the Middle East, North Africa, and the Gulf Region, the White House said Monday.

Gordon has been a member of President Obama’s foreign policy team for four years and has formulated US policy on Libya, Syria and Iran.
