AMMAN - Syrian troops and armored vehicles began to pull out on Thursday from the town of Tel Kelakh near the border with Lebanon following mass pro-democracy protests, a witness said.

Tens of buses loaded with soldiers and armored personnel carriers left the town heading north at around noon, said the witness, a resident in the town who did not want to be identified.
