Yesha calls on unity gov't to prevent Ulpana demolition

Yesha Council head Danny Dayan called on the new coalition government Tuesday to prevent the demolition of the Ulpana outpost, slated for July.

"The elections may be deferred, but the sword of destruction still sits on the necks of the residents and their children. Putting together a 94-member coalition creates an opening for a creative legislative solution," Dayan said, urging the government to act immediately.

The Supreme Court turned down a government petition to delay the demolition of several structures in the outpost that were built on Private Palestinian land on Monday. The court set the deadline for removing the structures for July 31.
