The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange said Tuesday its newly revamped Web site has been receiving some 11,000 unique hits per day since its launch in June.
The TASE said each surfer was entering around 43 pages in the website per visit spending approximately 35 seconds on each.
The newlook site was launched in an attempt to make it more user friendly and to provide more accessible and complete information about Israeli capital markets to meet international needs.
The most popular feature on www.tase.co.il, TASE said, has been its educational content under the link "The Bourse for Beginners" with approximately 1,700 downloads per week.
Around 3,000 people have also joined its "personal portfolio" program since the launch which enables visitors to build their own investment portfolio and monitor its progress.
The statistics also showed that in September some 61% of the sites' visitors were Israeli, 23% from the US and Canada and 13% from Europe . In the same month, the TASE counted 1,288 surfers on the site from China , 504 from South Korea and 470 from India.
During July, over the period of the war in Lebanon, some 1,900 hits were sourced in Arab countries. This dropped to half that amount in August and further to 350 Arab visitors in September.
