Bird Foundation to invest in 14 projects

The Israel-US Binational Industrial Research and Development (BIRD) Foundation on Tuesday approved investments in 14 new joint US-Israeli companies, totaling $13 million, with a combined budget of over $36m.

The Israel-US Binational Industrial Research and Development (BIRD) Foundation on Tuesday approved investments in 14 new joint US-Israeli companies, totaling $13 million, with a combined budget of over $36m. The companies are in the telecom, life sciences, medical devices, nanotechnology, homeland security and environmental protection sectors. BIRD has promoted US-Israeli businesses partnerships for the past 30 years, and has invested in 740 projects with revenues of approximately $8 billion.
