Chief scientist okays 30 R&D projects

Companies taking part in the projects include hi-tech and traditional industry companies such as ECI Telecom, Elbit Systems Applied Materials Israel, Netifim and the Strauss Group.

The Magnet committee, under the auspices of Chief Scientist Eli Opper, has given approval to 30 cooperative technology development projects between the industry and leading academic scientific research in the area at a cost of NIS 29 million of which the government will subsidize NIS 21m. Companies taking part in the projects include hi-tech and traditional industry companies such as ECI Telecom, Elbit Systems Applied Materials Israel, Netifim and the Strauss Group.
