El Al seeks domestic routes

El Al, the country's national airline has submitted a request to the Civil Aviation Authority to receive the status of leading airline on domestic routes.

El Al, the country's national airline has submitted a request to the Civil Aviation Authority to receive the status of leading airline on domestic routes. CEO Haim Romano requested approval to operation flight routes from Ben-Gurion Airport to Eilat and the north of the country, which are currently operated by Arkia and Israir. Romano said that with the operation of these flights, El Al could offer tourists "combined airline tickets" to Israel and domestic destinations.
