Fischer flies to Switzerland

Bank of Israel Governor Stanley Fischer flew Sunday afternoon to Basel, Switzerland to participate in a meeting of central bank governors organized by the Bank of International Settlements (BIS), the Bank of Israel said.

Bank of Israel Governor Stanley Fischer flew Sunday afternoon to Basel, Switzerland to participate in a meeting of central bank governors organized by the Bank of International Settlements (BIS), the Bank of Israel said. "The BIS is the central bank of the central banks," the Bank of Israel said, noting that the meeting will be the third this year in the context of a series of parlays held every two months. Fischer will return to Israel Tuesday morning.
