Israel to host G30 in 2008

Israel will host the meeting of the Group of Thirty, the consultative group on international economic and monetary affairs, in May 2008, the Bank of Israel announced Sunday.




Israel will host the meeting of the Group of Thirty, the consultative group on international economic and monetary affairs, in May 2008, the Bank of Israel announced Sunday. The G30, which is chaired by former Bank of Israel governor Yaacov Frenkel, includes senior representatives from the international financial community such as the UK's central bank governor Mervyn King and President of the European Central Bank Jean-Claude Trichet. Separately, over the weekend, the Bank of Israel announced the appointment of three external members and three internal members to the central bank's internal audit committee.
