New system to save Tower $15m.

MarketWatch: In-depth global business coverage Tower Semiconductor Ltd. the Migdal Ha'emek-based independent semiconductor foundry, said it would implement a system to more efficiently manage its inventory of spare parts for its manufacturing tools. Implementing the system, developed by Exel MPL and Avba, should save Tower $15 million over three years, the company said. A spokeswoman said no layoffs would result from the move. Exel MPL is a joint venture of Deutsche Post's Discuss Financials Exel logistics unit and MPL of Israel. Avba Engineers, based in Migdal Ha'emek, provides processing, measurement and testing equipment for manufacturers. MarketWatch: In-depth global business coverage
