Plan encourages periphery contracts

Under a new procedure announced by the Chief Scientist's Office in the Industry, Trade and Labor Ministry on Monday, companies that subcontract research and development work to businesses based in the periphery of the country will be entitled to 25% of the total contract awarded, while those that subcontract to companies located in the country's"Area A", will be awarded 10% of the contract's worth from a government grant.
