An economic study by MasterCard shows that women are responsible for about 10 percent of the 1.4 billion that Europeans are spending on the Euro 2008 soccer contest. Women's spending includes travel expenses to the games, purchase of fan paraphernalia such as team shirts and spending time at local bars watching the games.
