Retail sales in Switzerland rose less-than-expected in October, official data showed on Monday.
In a report, Switzerland’s Federal Statistical Office said that retail sales increased at annualized rate of 1.2% in October, missing expectations for a 2.1% gain. Retail sales rose by 1% in September.
Following the release of the data, the Swiss franc was modestly lower against the U.S. dollar, with USD/CHF adding 0.06% to trade at 0.8926.
