Chef Yochanan Lambiase shares the secret to cooking a simple grilled cheese sandwich recipe, especially useful for those on the go. Follow these easy instructions to make an impressive and tasty sandwich, likely to impress your hungry friends and family in a jiffy. 

So delicious. So easy.

What you will need:

  • Your choice of bread (recommended: whole wheat pita)
  • Finely sliced goat's mozzarella cheese, red onions and tomato
  • Roasted red pepper - skinless and sliced
  • Pesto
  • Ground pepper
  • Butter



STEP 1: Butter it up


Generously butter the griddle on both side.

STEP 2: Pack it on


Place bottom slice of bread on griddle. Pile on cheese, onions, tomato and pepper fillings. Top off with second slice of bread.

STEP 3: Cook it down


Gently close griddle and let cook for about 7-8 minutes until bread becomes crispy and golden-brown. The cheese should be gooey and melted.
