'IDF causes 15-year-old Palestinian's death off Gaza'

An Israeli ship said to have fired on fisherman in waters of Rafah, capsizing boat and leading to a death by drowning, Ma'an reports.

A 15-year-old Palestinian boy was reportedly killed after an Israeli naval boat caused him to drown while he was working on a fishing boat in the coastal waters off the Gazan city of Rafah on Friday, according to Palestinian news agency Ma'an.
The report stated that the naval vessel opened fire on a group of Palestinian fisherman near Rafah, indirectly causing the death of 15-year-old Ziad Samir al-Bardawil on one of the fishermens' boats. Bardawil was allegedly brought to a hospital in Rafah were he was pronounced dead.
The IDF has not issued a response to the Ma'an report and the story could not be verified through other, independent news sources.
