Operation Pillar of Defense came to a conclusion on Wednesday with Israel and Hamas agreeing to a cease-fire brokered by Egypt and the United States.

The conflict, which began last week on Wednesday with the IDF's targeted killing of Hamas military chief Ahmed Jabari in Gaza, saw more than 1,500 rockets fired into Israel, leading to the death of six Israelis. The IDF struck more than 1500 terror targets in the Gaza Strip, leading to the deaths of 163 Palestinians, according to Gazan officials.
