Air Force strikes 2 'Global Jihad' targets in Gaza

11 Palestinians reported injured; IDF says one of the targets played senior role in planning deadly June attack on Egypt fence.

The Israel Air Force on Sunday evening struck two Global Jihad targets near Rafah in Gaza who were preparing to launch an attack from Sinai. Eleven people, including five children, were injured in the strike, Palestinian Ma'an news agency reported citing medical officials in Gaza.
According to the IDF, the strike targeted Talat Khalil Muhammad Jerbi and Abdullah Mohammed Hassan Makawi. The two were reported to have been critically injured.
Jerbi, a Global Jihad terrorist from Rafah, had a senior role in planning the June 18th attack on the Egyptian border fence, which killed an Israel civilian.
He had long been involved in firing rockets at Israel and manufacturing bombs, according to the IDF. The IDF said he was planning a sophisticated attack in Sinai.
Abdullah Mohammed Hassan Makawi was a member of the Ashura Council of Holy Warriors, a Global Jihad group in central Gaza.
