'Wikileaks': Syria aimed chemical weapons at Israel

Syria placed long-range chemical weapons on its border with Israel in 2007 in response to Israeli destruction of one of their nuclear reactors, 'Wikileaks' documents reveal.The existence of the missiles was discussed in a March 2008 meeting with then-Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and several US congressmen.RELATED:'Lebanese army seized Hezbollah rockets in 2nd Lebanon War'UN expert says US blocking meeting with 'Wikileaks' soldierThe agenda of the meeting, which was attended by current US Speaker of the House John Boehner, included a discussion of Israel's plans for dealing with Hamas rocket fire. According to the 'Wikileaks' documents, Olmert detailed Israel's preparations for Operation Cast Lead and expressed a desire to deal a significant blow to Hamas.In the discussions, Olmert also expressed his support for PA Prime Minister Salam Fayyad, praising Fayyad's work in the West Bank and stating that he saw a significant difference between him and his predecessor Yasser Arafat.
