Security forces have prevented several knife attacks by Palestinian terrorists in recent months.

In October, a Palestinian man armed with a 14-centimeter blade was arrested near the Cave of the Patriarchs in Hebron. The man told Border Police he was planning to stab Israelis at the holy site.

Earlier in October, a Palestinian woman armed with a knife lunged at passengers at a bus stop in Gush Etzion. She was taken into custody by police on the site.

On October 22, a Palestinian with a knife launched a stabbing spree in a Jerusalem residential neighborhood, stabbing and injuring a 17-year-old Israeli youth, and chasing after a 12-year-old girl and her six-year-old brother.
