Green Spot Inaugurated at IDF Training Base in Adam

Israel’s finest combat soldiers from the IDF’s elite units who come to train at the Adam facility in the center of the country will henceforth have the opportunity to relax in a shady tranquil spot equipped with wooden benches and surrounded by a landscaped area of garden, all thanks to KKL-JNF and its Friends in Germany. This relaxation corner was dedicated to Benny Bloch, President of KKL-JNF Germany, in honor of his 70th birthday, as a gift from KKL-JNF in appreciation of his many years of activism for projects in Israel.

“It’s exciting to see such a beautiful project at a military base,” said Benny Bloch at the dedication ceremony. “For those of us who live outside Israel, our task is to provide the best conditions possible for the soldiers who protect the State.”

The Adam facility teaches IDF soldiers how to combat terrorism. Now, thanks to this donation from KKL-JNF and JNF Germany, the soldiers have an attractive spot where they can take a break from their rigorous training schedule. The deputy commanding officer of the base put it like this: “There’s no substitute for these pleasant green surroundings that welcome the soldiers when they arrive at the base. The army invests its resources in weapons and training, and, sadly, we aren’t usually able to spend money on providing an attractive environment. We should like to express our heartfelt thanks for this generous donation – thanks to you, the soldiers will feel at home here,” he concluded.
