The Fifth Conference of KKL-JNF Presidents in Latin America took place on May 18th – 20th and was followed on May 21st by a special training day for managers and staff who work in the various offices. The previous conference was held in Guatemala in 2012, and the next one is due to take place in Argentina in around two years’ time.

Ninety-six representatives from fifteen different countries attended the Conference. Among the notable figures present was former Prime Minister of Spain José María Aznar, KKL-JNF World Chairman Efi Stenzler, Israeli Ambassador to Mexico Rodica Radian Gordon and President of KKL-JNF Mexico Carol Broussi. Patricia Saltiel, President of the fifth Conference, was the mistress of ceremonies. The participants also included fifteen representatives of KKL-JNF’s Young Leadership from a variety of different countries, who held special activities designed to promote young leadership in South America.

The conference was intended to meet a number of needs: informing the various Latin American offices of the many activities each branch had been engaged in since the previous conference; offering training in a variety of areas, with emphasis on marketing and fundraising; and creating and strengthening work relations between the different offices.
