KKL-JNF invites you to celebrate the festival in the heart of nature, in the forests, in the parks and in all our sites countrywide. During the Succot holidays there will be a variety of events. You can call KKL-JNF Forest Hotline in Israel at 1-800-350-350 and join the celebrations. Information and guide stations in the forests and routes. Sunday - Tuesday [18-20 Tishrei] 30th September - 2nd October 2007 KKL-JNF Guides and volunteers are waiting for you in our information centers in the north, in the Jerusalem hills, in the coastal plain and in the south, to advise and explain the many hiking routes and activities in those areas on Succot. The centers will be open between 9.00 and 16.00 in the following places: - The entrance to Bet Keshet Forest (route 65) - The entrance to Park Ramat Menashe (route 66) - In Sataf (route 395) - Yad Kennedy in Aminadav Forest (route 3877) - Nes Harim Forest (route 386) - Herzl House in Hulda Forest (route 411) - Bet Kama Junction (route 40) - Yad Mordechai junction (route 34). Details and registration at the Forest Hotline in Israel at 1-800-350-350 "Ushpizin" Hospitality in the Forests - trips over Succot holidays. Sunday - Tuesday [18-20 Tishrei] 30th September - 2nd October 2007 at 10:00 and 14:00 We invite you to tour the special routes in the forests countrywide as our "Forest Succot (Booths) guests". The tours take about three hours and include rides in your own car and walking routes. - Along the scenic route in Bet Keshet Forest - Along the scenic route in Park Ramat Menashe - Along the springs in Sataf - To the Bet I'tav ruins in Nes Harim Forest - Along the Representatives' Route in Hulda Forest - To the Niram Reservoir in the western Negev. The tours are free but places are limited to those who reserve ahead of time at the Forest Hotline in Israel at 1-800-350-350 In the Land of our Fathers - Tour in the Gerar & Besor Riverbeds. Friday [16th Tishrei] 28th September 2007 at 8:00 a.m. We invite you to a convoy trip in your private care in the unknown reaches of Gerar in the western Negev. We will drive along the Gerar River Park and from there to the Besor River, stopping at the huge reservoir built to collect floodwater and runoff water for agriculture in the desert. The trips take about four hours. Cost is 30 NIS per participant and 20 NIS for members of the Friends Club. Details and registration at the Forest Hotline in Israel at 1-800-350-350 Friday Free! Friday [16th Tishrei 5768] 28th September 2007 at 10:00 You are invited to join the free guided tours at 10:00 on Friday morning in charming corners of the country. The tours suit all ages, last about two hours and include both driving in your private car and walking along Forest paths. This week's tour goes to the Maginim Forest and Moshe Sharett Park. Places are limited to those who register early at the Forest Hotline in Israel at 1-800-350-350 The Cedar and the Flute Route - Autumn in the Jerusalem Forest. Friday [16th Tishrei, 5768] 28th September 2007 at 10:00 In the amazing view overlooking Greater Jerusalem in the center of the country, we will enjoy a Flute concert in nature and then continue from there along the Forest paths. The walk and recital together last about three hours. Suits the whole family and is arranged with the Zipori Center. Cost 40 NIS each or 30NIS for members of the Friends Club. Discount for families. Friday & Saturday [17th & 18TH Tishre 5768] 28th & 29th September 2007 at 10.00 and 14.00 Come to see the work of the foresters in Sataf: an independent tour using the activity handbook in the Sataf pathways, with activities and challenges, with the National Service - KKL-JNF volunteers and an appreciation ceremony for young foresters! All children will receive a certificate and tag for young foresters and can join the young foresters group that hikes with us across the country. A symbolic fee of 10 NIS per children - adults free! Saturday night [18th Tishrei 5768] 29th September 2007 at 21:00 The Kibbutz Cameri Orchestra with soprano Hila Bejin and baritone Noah Brigger, conducted by Leonti Woolf, present a program from beloved operas: "The Marriage of Figaro," "The Magic Flute" "Don Giovanni" by Mozart and works from Rossini, Strauss and others. Admission 90NIS each and 70 for members of the Friends Club. Sunday [18th Tishrei] 30th September 2007 at 10:00 The entire family goes out on a wonderful and light cycling tour along the easier pathways of the Angels Forest. National Service - KKL-JNF volunteers will wait for them along the way with cold water, quizzes for the children and some activities to relax those muscles! 30 NIS each, 20 for members of the Friends Club. You can hire bicycles with prior payment and registration. Details and registration at the Forest Hotline in Israel at 1-800-350-350 Ancient Olive Pressing in the KKL-JNF Olive Orchards. Monday [19th Tishrei 5768] 1st October 2007 at 10:00 and 15:00 Continuing our olive pressing tradition, in the style of the ancients, we present activities, stories and walks with KKL-JNF guides in Lavi Forest in the north and in Lahav forest in the south. A third olive-press- including a walk to the olive orchard will take place under the slogan of Saving the Jerusalem Hills in Mount Heret near Sataf, in cooperation with other Green organizations and municipalities. A symbolic admission fee is charged to cover olive containers and creative workshops. Tuesday [20th Tishrei 5768] 2nd October 2007 at 10:00 Members of the Group - who have a tag from previous activities at Lake Hula, Biriya Forest and Sataf - are invited to the meet the Foresters and Friends who will take them to the olive orchards to press olives to take home oil. National Service - KKL-JNF volunteers are preparing special new programs! Symbolic charge of 10NIS per child - adults free. Tuesday [20th Tishrei] 2nd October 2007 from 10.00 - 15.00 A veritable party of storytellers and legends that will "come to life," about the early settlers of the Hula, with creative workshops and activity corners in the courtyard of the Dobrovin Estate, in cooperation with other Organizations.
