8 dead, 3 wounded in Honduras bus shooting

TEGUCIGALPA, Honduras  — Eight people are dead and three wounded after gunmen opened fire on a minibus in the Central American nation of Honduras.
Security Ministry spokesman Leonel Sauceda said the attack appeared to have been aimed at one or two of the passengers on the minibus.
Sauceda says the attack was "a massacre."
The attack occurred late Thursday in eastern Honduras, three days after the bombing of a bus in neighboring Guatemala killed 6 people.
The motive in the Guatemala attack appears to be related to extortion by street gangs. The motive in Thursday's attack is still being investigated.
