Israel Int'l Mayor’s Conference to get underway in J'lem

Twenty five mayors from around the world will participate in the three-day Israel International Mayor’s Conference, hosted by the mayors of Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, and Haifa that started on Sunday.
Mayors are expected to attend from Canada, Australia, the Philippines, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Gambia, Hungary, Greece, Kenya, Tanzania, El Salvador, Uruguay, Malta, Cape Verde, Peru and Bosnia & Herzegovina, and Scranton, Pennsylvania.
The mayors will focus on high tech, clean tech, and education, and will visit Haifa’s Rambam Hospital parking garage/emergency medical bomb shelter, Tel Aviv’s Bialik-Rogzin School, which was featured in the documentary “Strangers No More,” and briefings at the Knesset. The conference opened with a ceremony at the Jerusalem municipality on Sunday night.
