London: IOC president closes 'happy and glorious' Games

LONDON - International Olympic Committee President Jacques Rogge hailed London 2012 as "happy and glorious" on Sunday as he closed the Games after a ceremony celebrating British music in which the baton was handed over to Rio de Janeiro for 2016.
"These were happy and glorious Games," he said, in a reference to Britain's national anthem and Queen Elizabeth's Diamond Jubilee year.
