Italian Minister of Education, Research and Universities visits Tel Aviv University

The Italian Minister of Education, Research and Universities H.E. Prof. Maria Chiara Carrozza toured Tel Aviv University (TAU) on Sunday as part of her visit to Israel.

Carrozza, accompanied by the Italian Ambassador to Israel Francesco Maria Talo and a delegation of senior educators and researchers met with TAU President Prof. Joseph Klafter and Prof. Aron Shai, TAU Rector.

"We hope that the minister's visit will serve as a stimulus for expanding research collaboration between Tel Aviv University and Italy in particular as well as with the European community in general," said Klafter.

The delegation also received a broad overview of the university, toured its facilities and met with researchers and scientists conducting cutting edge research in the fields of microbiology, neurobiology and biomedical engineering.

“We expect to increase our cooperation with Tel Aviv University in the fields of research and education,” said Carrozza at the end of her visit.
