Histadrut's Eini set to officially declare general strike

Histadrut Labor Federation chairman Ofer Eini on Monday was set to announce that the unions would launch a general strike Wednesday as part of their dispute with the Finance Ministry, demanding that contract workers be moved to direct employment.
The National Labor Court lifted an injunction against the general strike late Thursday night.
The strike is set to include banks, the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, Israel Railways, government workers, universities, hospitals, port authorities, and more. The court limited Ben-Gurion Airport workers from striking between the hours of 6:00 am and 12:00 pm.
The Treasury has threatened to ask the High Court of Justice to bar the strike.
