Calls for Pollard release at Jpost conference

Environment Minister Gilad Erdan called upon US President Barack Obama to commute Israeli agent Jonathan Pollard's life sentence at Sunday's Jerusalem Post conference in New York.

"After 26 years, enough is enough," Erdan said. "The time has come to see Pollard with us in Israel."

Jerusalem Post editor-in-chief Steve Linde and veteran Jewish world leader Isi Liebler also called for Pollard's release at the event.

"The fact that Pollard's still in jail is of the biggest scandals in Diaspora Jewry," Liebler said. "I expect US Jews to shout more and more about this."
