Report: Iran warns of 'cross-border' assassination response

Iran's response to the assassination of a nuclear scientist in Iran Wednesday will reach beyond borders and the region, a website aligned with the regime in Tehran quoted a senior security source as saying Thursday.
Those who gave the order for the assassination, the source was quoted as saying, "will never feel safe," adding that Iran's will have a cross-border, cross-regional strategy to strike back.
He said that Tehran has entered "a new era of intelligence operations against its enemies."
A university professor and department head of a uranium enrichment facility was killed by a bomb placed on his car by a motorcyclist in Tehran on Wednesday, Iranian media reported, in an incident that looked similar to attacks on nuclear scientists in the city more than one year ago.
