'625 housing units approved in northern Pisgat Zeev'

The District Committee of Planning and Construction in Jerusalem has officially approved the establishment of a new neighborhood of 625 housing units in northeastern Jerusalem called "North Pisgat Zeev," according to a report by Channel 10 News.
The move comes despite strong opposition by the US administration.
According to figures by Peace Now regarding construction after the settlement building freeze, there were a number of approvals in the last month. On October 30, the Mugrahbi bridge plan in the Old City was approved and on November 5 a plan was approved for the construction of 1345 apartments in Har Homa and Ramot. A day before, tenders were approved for 238 apartments in Pisgat Zeev and Ramot were approved. On November 25 a tender was approved for construction of 625 housing units in north Pisgat Zeev.
