Hadera Rabbi, 3 others arrested for vandalizing school

A Hadera rabbi was arrested Monday after vandalizing a local religious girls school over a property dispute.
The Rabbi from central Israel showed up with three of his yeshiva students and began vandalizing school equipment in an attempt to prevent the school from opening on the first day of class.
Police were called to scene and arrested the rabbi and his students pending further investigation. The Coastal Sub-district police spokesman, Eran Shaked, said that the rabbi tried to disrupt the first day of class because of a dispute between him and the Hadera municipality over the school building.
According to Shaked, the dispute between the rabbi and the local religious council in Hadera deals with the ownership of one of the buildings used by the school.
