Some 500 potential olim attend jobs conference in New York

Some 500 potential Jewish immigrants to Israel gathered at the Crown Plaza Hotel in New York on Sunday to learn about job opportunities in Israel.
The annual event, organized by Nefesh B’Nefesh together with the Ministry of Immigrant Absorption and the Jewish Agency for Israel, offered participants workshops and seminars on how to find employment in the Jewish state should they decide to make aliya.
“We have been planning on making Aliyah for a long time now, so we came here in order to get information and figure out a bunch of things, our financial planning among them,” New Yorker Craig Messer was quoted as saying in a press release. “The Mega Event has been very beneficial for us in doing that."
The gathering was part of a series of events held across North America last week aimed at helping would-be immigrants find jobs in Israel.
