The head of a major car theft ring is behind bars, after he was arrested by
officers by the special LAHAV 433 investigative unit, police said on
Thursday.
Qalqiyah native Adal Abu Dahil, 30, was arrested by police in
Kfar Qassam, where he has been living illegally.
According to police, Abu
Dahil and the rest of the gang had a simple mode of operation: they would
burglarize houses in central Israel and hunt for the homeowners car keys and
make off with their vehicle.
On Thursday, Abu Dahil was taken for a
hearing at the Rishon Letzion Magistrate’s Court, where his remand was extended
by five days.
