A massive tunnel dug by terrorists from southern Gaza towards Israel blew up
after terrorists set off explosives that were packed in it, the IDF said
Thursday evening.
No one was injured by the blast, but a jeep which was
in the area was blown sideways by the force of the blast. The blast may have
been caused by remote control.
Earlier on Thursday, Brig.-Gen. Micky
Edelstein, the new Gaza Division commander, led his forces over the border into
Gaza to investigate the area, following a string of bomb attacks in recent days,
including one on Tuesday which injured three soldiers.
