Prof. Yosef Shilo to receive Israel prize for life sciences

Professor Yosef Shiloh of Tel Aviv University (TAU) is set to receive the Israel Prize for life sciences. 62-year-old Shiloh is a genetics professor at the TAU medical school.
Shiloh will receive the prize for his research of the body's defense system against damage to DNA, and alos the discovery of the gene that causes ataxia telangiectasia.
Shiloh received the Clowes price from the American Association for Cancer Research a year ago.
