During operation Pillar of Defense in November, tourism in Israel dropped some 43%, the Central Bureau of Statistics said Monday.
During the military operation in Gaza, tourism fell from an average of 9,800 tourist entries per week to 5,600.
All-in-all, however, tourism in Israel was up. From January to November, 2012, some 3.3 million visitors passed through Israel, a 6 percent increase from the same period the previous year.
Of those, 223 million of the entries were tourists, defined as those who entered and left the country on different dates.
