Yisrael Beytenu chairman Avigdor Liberman plans to head the Knesset
Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee following the election until his
legal troubles end.
The former foreign minister's party confirmed
on Tuesday that, until the Belarus Ambassador Affair ends, he will head
the Knesset's most politically prestigious committee.
The report
first appeared on Israeli Russian-language news website "Cursor" as an
excerpt from an interview with Liberman that took place on Tuesday
morning.
Liberman added that, once the trial ends, he will hold a key position in the government.
