Lieberman set to depart for US, Canada ahead of UNGA

Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman was set to leave Sunday night on a visit to Canada and the US to attend the United Nations General Assembly in New York, the Foreign Ministry said Sunday in a statement.
In Ottawa, Lieberman was scheduled to meet with Canadian Foreign Minister John Baird, opposition leader Nycole Turmel and Liberal Party leader Bob Rae, as well as leaders of the Jewish communities of Ottawa, Toronto and Vancouver.
In New York,  the foreign minister was expected to attend opening events of the 66th session of the UN General Assembly and to meet with UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon together with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu.
