Italy rules out military action on Libya

ROME - Italian Foreign Minister Franco Frattini firmly ruled out military intervention in Libya, telling a Senate hearing on Wednesday it was not a feasible option.
"We cannot have war, the international community should not, does not want and cannot do it," he told a hearing of a parliamentary commission in the Senate.
He said he was in favor of calling a summit in the coming week of leaders from the European Union, the Arab League and the African Union, "the three parties which can make a difference" in Libya.
