Shimon Mizrahi receives Israel Prize award in Sports

Attorney and Chairman of the Maccabi Tel Aviv basketball team Shimon Mizrahi received the Israel Prize Award for Sports on Wednesday, Education Minister Gidon Sa'ar said Wednesday."[Mizrahi] has created new administration ideas within the sports world," the committee which awarded the prize said. "His prolonged activity which has occurred for many years on a voluntarily basis, has led to increased public awareness of the basketball industry, while ensuring a high quality level of management in Israeli sports and has brought prestigious national and international achievements.""The public advocacy of Attorney Mizrahi in national and international forums has raised the prestige of Israeli sports in general, and basketball in particular," the committee added.
